​​​The NRRC concluded a workshop on licensing research reactors, organized in collaboration with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (US.NRC) from January 26 to 30, 2025. The workshop provided a platform for enhancing expertise and exchanging knowledge in nuclear licensing. As part of the workshop activities, participants visited the research nuclear reactor at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), which contributes to the development of national capabilities in the nuclear field. This workshop is part of the NRRC's ongoing efforts to strengthen regulatory frameworks in accordance with international best practices and in alignment with the IAEA standards for licensing nuclear facilities and activities.​
