​The Board of Directors of the NRRC consists of a Chairperson, appointed by Royal Decree, a Chief Executive Officer, and five members with expertise in fields relevant to the organization's work, appointed by the Council of Ministers. The Board is responsible for overseeing the management of the NRRC's affairs and guiding its operations, ensuring that all decisions made are directed towards achieving its objectives in accordance with its regulations. Specifically, the Board's duties include:

  1. Supervising the implementation of the NRRC's assigned tasks.
  2. Approving general policies related to its activities, along with the necessary plans and programs to achieve them.
  3. Proposing new regulations pertinent to its mandates, recommending amendments to existing ones, and submitting them for approval in line with established procedures.
  4. Approving internal administrative, financial, and other relevant regulations.
  5. Endorsing technical regulations governing activities, practices, and facilities.
  6. Developing the organizational structure of the NRRC and submitting it for approval following standard procedures.
  7. Authorizing the establishment of branches and offices within the Kingdom.
  8. Approving the annual budget, final accounts, audit report, and annual report in preparation for formal ratification.
  9. Adopting the NRRC's annual report.
  10. Setting the fees for licenses issued by the NRRC as well as for the services and tasks it provides.
  11. Appointing an external auditor and an internal financial controller.
  12. Approving periodic progress reports on the NRRC's activities.

To fulfill these responsibilities, the Board has the authority to form permanent or temporary committees comprising its members or others, assigning them specific tasks as deemed necessary. Each committee's formation decision will specify its chairperson, members, and duties, with the option to engage external expertise to support its assigned tasks.

Additionally, the Board may delegate certain powers to its Chairperson or other members as deemed appropriate​.
