Radiation Safety Track
The Radiation Safety Track is designed to provide participants with a solid understanding of the scientific and technical principles of radiation protection. It covers concepts such as radioactivity, types of radiation, radiation interactions with matter, exposure pathways, dose calculation, and radiation units. The track introduces the fundamental principles governing protection against ionizing radiation in nuclear and radiological practices, promoting the safe and responsible use of radiation sources and technologies across various applications.
The track offers a comprehensive perspective on radiation safety by integrating scientific concepts with regulatory and technical applications. Topics include the biological and health effects of ionizing radiation, radiation measurement and detection technologies, and statistical uncertainty in radiation counting. This enables participants to understand the scientific basis of radiation protection requirements and develop the ability to interpret technical results and relate them to sound regulatory practices.
- Understand the fundamental principles of radiation protection and their role in protecting people and the environment from ionizing radiation.
- Understand the concepts of radioactivity and radioactive decay and their relationship to the behavior and applications of radioactive materials.
- Differentiate between types of radiation and their interactions with matter, and understand their implications for selecting appropriate protection and measurement methods.
- Understand radiation exposure pathways, dose calculations, and radiation quantities and units.
- Recognize the biological and health effects of ionizing radiation and relate them to radiation protection requirements and dose limits.
- Understand radiation measurement and detection instruments and techniques and their role in supporting regulatory and technical practices.
- Enhance the ability to interpret radiation counting and measurement results and understand associated statistical uncertainties to support accurate assessment and regulatory decision-making.
- Log in to Aman Academy using your user credentials or through the National Single Sign-On (Nafath).
- Go to the Academy homepage.
- Browse the available training courses or use the search feature.
- Select the desired learning path.
- Review the course details (description, duration, prerequisites, and schedule).
- Click Register or Enroll in the course.
- Confirm your registration.
- Go to My Courses to start the course.
- Follow the training content and complete the required activities and assessments.
- View your course results and download your certificate after meeting the course completion requirements.
- The user must have an active account on the Academy.
- The user is responsible for ensuring that all information provided during registration is accurate and complete.
- Copying, republishing, or distributing the training content without prior authorization is prohibited.
- Users must comply with the Academy’s approved regulations, instructions, and policies.
- The platform administration reserves the right to suspend or deactivate any account that violates the terms of use or misuses the Academy.
- Users will receive a completion or achievement certificate in accordance with the approved requirements and standards of each course.
