Freedom of Information
Freedom of Information is a fundamental principle that guarantees individuals the right to access information held by the Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission. It is based on transparency and accountability, and aims to empower citizens by allowing them to request and receive records and data, thereby promoting open governance and informed decision-making.
Freedom of Information laws vary from country to country; however, they share the common objective of ensuring that government actions are open to scrutiny and that citizens can access the information they need to participate in civic life. This is in addition to complying with the controls and standards of the National Data Management Office.
