The Nuclear Security Track provides participants with both conceptual and practical knowledge of the principles and requirements for protecting nuclear materials, radioactive materials, and associated facilities against security threats. The track emphasizes professional awareness of nuclear security, radioactive material security, and institutional responsibilities related to preventing loss, theft, sabotage, or unauthorized use, thereby supporting the safe and responsible use of nuclear and radiological technologies.

Participants are introduced to security risks associated with the use, storage, and transport of radioactive materials, as well as the principles and requirements for secure transport and protection of radioactive sources and associated facilities.
