Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign
12 أكتوبر 2025
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, during which awareness campaigns are widespread, highlighting the crucial role of early detection in improving treatment outcomes. The Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission organized an awareness exhibition to promote public health. The exhibition included a breast cancer early detection program, a diabetes prevention program (including blood pressure and blood sugar testing), an eye health program, a smoking cessation program, and the provision of the seasonal flu vaccine (for the fifth consecutive year). An educational lecture titled "Breast Cancer Imaging" was also held, covering mammography, radiation safety for those accompanying the patient during the examination, and the effective radiation dose from mammography. The aim was to raise awareness about the importance of early detection and prevention methods.
