On the third day of the EPR2025 conference, a specialized session reviewed the outcomes of the largest global exercise for nuclear and radiological emergencies.
As part of the third day of the EPR2025 conference on preparedness and response to nuclear and radiological emergencies, a specialized session reviewed the outcomes of the international exercise ConvEx-3, the largest global exercise simulating response mechanisms for nuclear and radiological emergencies. The session included the participation of leading international experts and preparedness and response specialists from various countries and organizations.
The presentation addressed the most important lessons learned from the exercise and their impact on developing international coordination plans and enhancing the speed of response among countries in the event of a nuclear or radiological emergency. It also discussed future challenges and opportunities for improving preparedness and early warning capabilities.
Participants emphasized that reviewing the results of this exercise during the conference provides an important scientific platform for exchanging international experiences and best practices, and reflects the importance of global cooperation in strengthening nuclear safety systems and raising the level of international emergency preparedness.
