The regulatory framework of the NRRC delineates its national responsibilities in fulfilling the Kingdom's obligations under treaties, agreements, resolutions, and all other relevant international instruments within the Commission's scope of authority. The NRRC is also tasked with advancing communication and cooperation with international organizations and counterpart regulatory bodies in other nations. It represents the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia before the (IAEA​) and other international organizations pertinent to its mandate.​
