The radioactive sources intended for transfer of possession must be within the practice license and within the quantity and radioactivity limits of the facility wishing to transfer the radioactive sources for possession.

The practice license must be valid for no less than three months from the date of application submission.

Contracting with a transporting facility licensed by the Nuclear and Radiation Regulatory Authority to transport radioactive sources.

Approval from the manufacturer of the radioactive sources to transfer possession of these sources to the other facility, with a commitment to retrieve the sealed radioactive sources upon completion of their use.
