The Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission, in cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), organized a regional workshop titled "Regulatory Oversight of Research Reactors" from 19 to 23 October 2025, as part of its efforts to enhance international cooperation in nuclear regulatory practices.
The workshop brought together international experts and representatives from regulatory bodies in several countries, in addition to the participation of national entities. It aimed to strengthen regulatory capabilities and exchange expertise and best practices in research reactor oversight, contributing to advancing the highest standards of nuclear and radiological safety and developing national competencies.
