Qualification of Nuclear Regulators
16 April 2026
The Nuclear and Radiological Regulatory Commission continues to develop and build the technical and specialized capabilities of its staff. In this context, the Commission held a workshop titled “Qualification of Nuclear Regulators” from April 14 to 16, 2026, at its headquarters.
The workshop aimed to enable participants to acquire the necessary knowledge and gain a comprehensive understanding of national regulatory requirements, standards, and international obligations. It also sought to enhance their technical and professional skills in reviewing and evaluating nuclear safety reports, as well as analyzing risks associated with nuclear facilities—thereby contributing to improved preparedness and strengthening regulatory performance.
The program included training lectures and practical scientific exercises delivered by a group of specialized experts from within the Commission in the field of nuclear regulation. This approach ensured the transfer of expertise, integration of knowledge, and advancement of nuclear safety standards, while reinforcing the regulatory framework in line with international best practices.
